Bulletstorm DLC: Gun Sonata Pack Brings More Mayhem, Maps

Well, folks, it’s time to get your leashes back in action. You heard it right: the first DLC for Bulletstorm is live. And appropriately named, too. The Bulletstorm Gun Sonata Pack has a certain ring to it, don’t you think? And don’t forget to check out all the gorgeous pictures below in the gallery.

Here’s all the juicy specs, from the official release:

New maps, more mayhem, more over-the-top action! The Bulletstorm Gun Sonata Pack is now available worldwide on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and PlayStation®Network for 800 MS Points or $9.99. The Bulletstorm Gun Sonata Pack will be available soon for PC. Players will have access to three new maps for the game’s Anarchy multiplayer mode, including the calamitous Sewers of Stygia, the abandoned Hotel Elysium and the open spaces of Villa. In Anarchy multiplayer mode, teams of up to four players fight together to survive waves of blood-thirsty mutants while scoring Skillpoints in order to advance. These new areas provide a playground for gamers to work together to pull off heart-stomping team skillshots as they decimate their foes with creative mayhem mixed with an arsenal of the most gut-wrenching and unique weapons to appear in a first-person shooter game.

Gun Sonata Pack also includes two new Echo mode maps, including Crash Site and Guns of Stygia, offering completely new challenges for those competing to top personal high scores and global leaderboard rankings. In Echo mode, Bulletstorm tracks and compares players’ scores through locations typically found in the campaign.

Since the arrival of Grayson Hunt and his band of space pirates, Bulletstorm has received worldwide acclaim, with Yahoo! Games calling it, “the most original shooter in years,” and MSN declaring Bulletstorm “a fantastic game.” Bulletstorm tells the story of Grayson Hunt and Ishi Sato, ex-members of an elite military force called Dead Echo, now mercenaries on the run across the galaxy. Stranded on Stygia, a paradise lost that has been overrun by rampaging freaks, flesh-eating plants and creatures the size of skyscrapers, their main objective is to survive long enough in order to exact revenge on the one person responsible for their plight.

Developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games, the teams behind the award-winning Gears of War and Unreal series of games, Bulletstorm is available now for Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PC.  For more information on Bulletstorm please visit www.bulletstorm.com and www.facebook.com/bulletstorm or follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/bulletstorm.

    • Erics_facebook

If you only paid 60$ for the beta, stop fucking bitching and moaning because you don’t like the game. It’s your fault, so shut up. Play it and learn to love it because then it’s just a waste of money.

This game was great! People who bought the game just for the GOW3 Beta shouldn’t even own a console in the first place. Stupid goddamned trolls!

    • T.J.

I loved the game but the online play got boring relatively fast. I was expecting more of a pvp kinda play for online or at least an option for it.  Other than that it was awesome.

I would like to understand how Bulletstorm developers approved a default script that is so chock full of expletives so extreme as to include frequent use of words that violate Microsoft TOS.  A subscriber to LIVE would be sanctioned for using these same vulgarities in online gameplay, online chat, and written communication.  User content would be deleted if it included these explitives that clutter default dialoge in game-play.  MS TOC would delete such words citing Code of Conduct violations.  Bulletstorm commonly uses explitives I will list here edited so as to conform to TOS:  Mo-Fo, C–sucker, F—, A– Maggot, and the list goes on.  Our games should conform to the same standards we are compelled to accept as Community Standards, and enforced under TOS and Code of Conduct.  It sends a confusing message when our games are filled with language, which if used by members would result in MS sanctions, including suspension, editing of user content, and other options available.  Why spoil a graphically beautiful game with foul explitives (in the default setting) that would not be tolerated from Live membership?  MS should equally apply and enforce TOS, including Code of Conduct standards and practices to gamemakers, as well as among the membership.
