Gears of War 3: Horde 2.0 Briefing Video

The multiplayer mode that set a new standard for cooperative multiplayer gameplay is back and bolder than ever as Horde mode returns to “Gears of War 3.” Today Microsoft and Epic Games released a tutorial video that takes fans through a first look at the upgrades in Horde 2.0. Check it out!

To test your Horde teamwork skills Xbox is collaborating with Walmart in the United States for the Gamescenter Mobile Tour and traveling around the US in a decked-out semi-truck, bringing fans the opportunity to play “Gears 3” and experience Horde 2.0 before the game’s September launch. The tour kicks off this week with an early stop in Dallas, TX at the Van’s Warped Tour on June 24. Additional dates and locations can be found here.

None of the Horde 2.0 vids can be seen. Some even state they were pulled by Comcast?!? Hope it gets fixed soon.

    All I’m seeing is a white box with the following message:
    
    “Due to Privacy Settings, not everyone can see this video. Log in to Facebook if you have permission.”
    
    Permission from whom? Epic? My mom? Your mom? Milli Vanilli? Mr. Caffeine? What great God will bestow upon me the privilege needed to see this illustrious vision?!
    
    Suggestion: If you’re going to rely on third-parties to host promotional materials that you actually want the public to see, make sure those sites don’t require registration for access. As hard as it might seem to believe, not everyone in the world is in love with Facebook or their T&C/EULA.

      I hear you. The Facebook embed was an alternative since YT took down the video we originally posted. It’s not typically what we use to embed on the blog.
      
      Since we’re required to put the video behind an age gate and the plugin we use here to do that is specifically for YT, we put it on our Facebook page which is also age gated (meaning you have to log in to ensure we meet the requirement).
      
      Normally this isn’t an issue since our YT videos aren’t being pulled down so it’s unlikely you’ll run into the problem again.
      
      Sorry for the inconvenience and any confusion it might have caused. We definitely want people to see the video without having to jump through a bunch of hoops.

this upgrade to horde mode is making one of the best parts of gears two even beter. a tip of the hat to epic for not just stopping with an upgrade to the maps and the graphics. great job
