Gears Weekend: Gamescom Recap, New XP Events and More!

Another Gears Weekend (#GearsWeekend) is upon us and there is lots of fun and XP in store. Not only that, but to coincide with our “Ticker by the Boatload” event, one random commenter on this post will win a Gears of War 3 Wall Clock. Tick Tick Boom!

Also, see below to find out how you can win more prizes if you’re a fan on our Gears of War Facebook page. We’ll also have some extra XP for you and some ammo changes for the shotgun in Horde.

Hooligunn at Gamescom – Emergence Night

Liam Ashley, AKA Hooligunn will be wrapping up his time in Germany and sending us his Emergence Night roundup. Check out Liam’s Gears of War 3 Act One preview over at the GCON website. Liam promises that the preview is spoiler free. OMG i <3 gears of war!?! got all of my gears 2 acievements! and only 4 more to go on gears 1! :p (seriously, torgue bow, longshot and my revives… well it should be 3 really, i got 105 revives but still no achievement… its only 10G but thats not the point now is it? :p lol… oh'well… better keep on playin!?!

Got a couple more lvls this weekend and will definitely get my wings by the time 3 comes out. Mostly played annex and guardian but also tried out the tickers by the boatload horde. Had a great weekend of Gears of War 2.

Had to get rid of my xbox a couple years back and got a new one about 4 months ago! Im a huge fan of gears(played since the first one came out…made it level 60 on gears2 before i got rid of my xbox) and cant wait till midnight of sep 20 to get my game. Before the xp weekend i was level 63 and me and my friend played 500+ rounds of horde on insane on round 1 haha and now im 70. I will get my wings before gears 3. if only i didnt have to start from level 1 again 4 months ago! anyway wish me luck on my !,000+ waves of horde to tackle in the upcoming weekends. <3 Gears 4 Life <3

FATAL RemyRogue in the building! I am SO excited about Gears 3! Ranking up now in time for the release! My boyfriend, xKNx Bulldog 85 is getting the epic version, the retro lancer, the game guide, everything too since GEARS has been his fave for a long time! Gears 1 was actually how he got me into gaming, was actually the reason I BOUGHT an xbox and the games have long been a favorite of ours! For our first Valentines Day together, I got him the Lancer and a few of the figurines… We just LOVE Gears! Before living together I was living in FL and he was in SC, playing Gears together was our only way of having “date nights”. THANK YOU, GEARS!
