20 x XP in Gears of War 2!

This week we’re celebrating Emergence Day with 20 x XP in Gears of War 2. It’s live now and will run until 9:00 a.m. Eastern on Monday, November 14th. Remember that it’s also double XP during that same period in Gears 3. Enjoy Emergence Day week!

Make sure you have played all the snow maps as well to get the full achievement for your wings

Tickers would help with the grinding … but it doesn’t seem so long ago that we had them. Just have to do some regular grinding instead.

cant get a game in gears 2 online in australia. 20x xp needs to be added to all multiplayer modes and not just ranked. all i can get is a game full of bot for 250pts.

20x experience doesn’t help shit if you don’t have all the map packs. For some reason, anyone who doesn’t have All Fronts is barred from joining any online games. I do so enjoy buying a game and being told I’m not allowed to play it.

Does any one know what game mode you must play to get 20 x xp? I am currently playing Annex on Social (you don’t have to wait as long to be matched up) and it appears to be 2 x xp. Do I have to play on ranked?

played all week. every game mode. annex, gaurdian, warzone, koth, submission, execution, wingman! EVERYTHING. played both social, and ranked. as of today 11/11/11, there is no 20 x xp. not ten!!! not five!!! at the most two!!! which is okay, except that it is announced as twenty. i was going to go trade my gow2 in this week but heard and seen the promise of 20 x xp. so i kept it. how disappointed i am. game stop, here i come!!!!! to anyone else, go ahead and try. multiple times if you like. like i did. you wont get 20, 10, or 5 times xp. just letting you know in advance!!!!! getting 20 x xp this week is just like getting cake in Portal!!!!!

All the hard work was a waste, wanted to play gears 2 to complete the little that was left to get the veteran gear achievement.. already had the 100 rank, just had to win 1 match each in snowblind maps.. logged in and the war journal reset! back to rank 1 !!

To the developers and organizers of this so called “Gears of War 2 20 x xp” event scheduled for 11/7/11-11/14/11. I believe you owe your fans, gamers, and also the other sites and forums that post and relay your info for you, an apology (or at least an explaination of why there was not a 20 x xp as presented or advertised). Plus a real 20 x xp event. You may even want to up it up to 25 or 30 x xp. I personally am disappointed. I played all week, since Monday, hoping to gain at some point close to 20 x xp. Never did it happen. I played daily. Even this morning. Never was there any thing close to 20 x xp. Sorry I missed the other events. I did happen to play Horde a while back (June or July) when i noticed that Sires had lancers. I thought it was glitch and ceased to play. I later found out Epic was having and event…and I had missed it. Sucks for me. Turns out Epic was having an event of some kind. Since then I scoured the internet(which led me to this site) to see what occasions and when Epic would have the next of event. See, I happen to be a completionest. I won’t get the next game until I completely beat the one before it. I started this last monday as a lowly 68, and was able to get to a lowly 71. In a weeks time. The most xp we received was 2 x. I have a job and family and game time is limited. I created a gears of war 2 20 xp event space in my home. Meaning I made it so I could play uninterrepted until I completed my goal of 100xp. 20 x xp would have been great. You see, the 20 times the xp i did get would have easily put me close the to the 100 mark. Then I could have just finished my achievements and moved on to purchase gears 3. It is the only reason I played Gears 2 this week. Otherwise I would have been done. I was/am ready to sell it on Ebay. Easily could have gotten 10 bucks plus shipping (better than game stop) before the holidays.

EPIC YOU LET ME DOWN….

Will you make it up to me and the other gamers out there who truly would like to move on to GOW3 but would like to get “wings” first so we can unlock the gears of war 3 content by hosting a real 20 x xp event really soon. Like now?

If so…GREAT.
If not….No more GOW for me. Period.
Christmas is coming and GOW 3 will not be on my list!!!
