This is stupid that means that we the fans/GearHeads that have the Hordes Command Pack have to share the same maps that we purchased with other players for free? And having to buy this new map pack when really we are paying full price for two new maps (bulletmarsh, clocktower)… And still have to buy General Raam extra content in December 15th wich will probably have the same maps bulletmarsh included…. The old maps should be free not the new ones….

everybody is getting the 5 maps free to play in public matches such as versus, horde, and beast but if you want to play the 3 maps from the horde command pack   private u need to have purchased the horde command pack.

Let me clear this up since nobody knows how to read. This new map pack being released includes 5 maps for free, which anyone can play on the public playlists. However, if someone wants to play Horde mode on the first 3 maps or use the new fortifications, they MUST buy the Horde Command Pack.

1. The map pack is free, as previously stated.
2. The “Gearheads” you claim to be a part of still have your Horde Command Pack, which is, as stated by its title, a HORDE based dlc pack. People who didn’t buy it still won’t be able to play with you on Horde, so stop crying.

Everyone complaining…. your all idiots. You paid for “HORDE” all the upgrades and maps. Not for any versus maps, so no one is getting anything for free that you think you “paid” for, no one can play horde on those 3 maps or use skins ect if they didn’t buy it. You also paid for achievements, that no one will get unless they pay.

This way they don’t have to split up their play lists into map pack only, or it will only load a map if everyone in the room has it, which was never in gears 2. You paid for it and would never see it.

I hope every company does this, add the extra content and achievements for people who pay, put the maps out for free only on versus. I hated never playing new maps in gears 2 that I paid for because one guy didn’t have them, either that or I had to go play only the new maps only. I hope all maps are free, I could care less about achievemens and skins. Ill definitly get he ramm dlc though.

I really like how apparently the majority of people ask if it can be played private when it says it in the description…..While the “Versus Booster Map Pack” will unlock five new multiplayer battlegrounds for public matchmaking, those who purchase the “Horde Command Pack” (or access it through the “Gears of War 3” Season Pass) will still have exclusive access to the pack’s Horde fortification upgrades, new playable characters like Bernie Mataki, Big Rig Dizzy and the Onyx Guard, as well as the Team Plasma and Jungle Camo weapon skins.  Remember, the only way to play Horde, Beast, or a privately hosted game on Azura, Rustlung, and Blood Drive will be to purchase the Horde Command Pack.

Got a question. I know all 5 maps will be available in Public matches…..but what about private matches? I have the Season Pass, so I know that 3 of those maps I will be able to play offline. But its really not mentioned if Clocktower & Bullet Marsh will be available for offline “private” matches.

The Horde Command Pack is the first DLC that is connected to the Season Pass, with this DLC you get the maps Azura, Blood Drive, and Rust Lung – the characters Big Rig Dizzy, Bernie, and Onyx Guard – the weapon skins Jungle and team plasma. On November 24th (IF YOU HAVE THE SEASON PASS and download the Versus Booster Pack) you will get all the maps mentioned in the article and will be able to use them on Public MP, Horde, Beast, and Private MP. If you do not have the season pass or bought the HCP you will get all the maps through downloading the versus booster pack but Azura, Blood Drive, and Rust Lung will only be avaliable for Public MP while Clocktower and Bullet Marsh can be used on all four modes.        To be clear the Versus Booster Pack does not count toward the Season Pass.

Ok, technical clarification needed.  I have the Horde pack.  Say I play public with 5 random people and a few of them don’t have the command pack.  We end up on Rustlung or something which we can now do because we all have the maps.  However, will only I (or other HCP buyers) have the ability to build a command center or uber-decoy (the Onyx guard)?  Can they repair the CC or decoy if they get damaged?  I’m just confused how all of the logistics will work out.  I guess we’ll see.  

Yeah thats why they call it a leap of faith. Everybody who bought the Season Pass had no idea what they were getting into. Also I am pretty happy that most of those players left now we know who are true legitamate Gearheads and Epic is making these events and DLC for them. Perhaps you should join the Call of Duty players that might be more your style.

keep in mind that only the people who bought the pack can play it in horde, beast, and host it in private matches. instead of being angry, you need to realize that they are giving these maps away so that EVERYONE has them. That way they can make it mandatory to have them to play, and you wont have the problem of GOW2 where you never play the DLC because there is always one person who didn’t spend the money… unless you played in the DLC only playlists which had less people in them etc etc… This is better for the community, it sounds like you would have rather paid for them again? you are getting free maps, don’t cry.

they are making the mp maps free to support the community so that it doesnt fragment like gow2 and you actually play matches on the new maps (If anything we should have complained about that!). Maybe its just because I’m a serious player… but being able to host the matches for private is a big deal for me, and I’m fine telling myself that that’s what I paid for in the HCP. And while I’m sure it doesn’t matter to you, Epic made a statement about a glitch with the way how it counts the number of people playing in one of the streams they had (to be clear they said it would affect gametypes with shorter matches more… it has to do with the way how it refreshes the count… so warzone/execution/alpha are on the low side)

I don’t understand how changing circumstances for the future invalidates past purchases… if you read the description of HCP and thought it was worth it, or the description of the seasons pass… then why should this affect anything? People just need to be happy that this means that we wont get the map fragmentation that gow2 had where we never actually played the dlc maps we bought

the horde command pack gave you the maps for private match play, horde and beast… so you wont see them in versus unless the dedicated servers went down and it picked a host with the maps, then picked the maps… after this the maps will be as common as any other and we will get plenty of versus time on them.

bulletmarsh and clocktower are for all gamemodes, private and public

my idea is to be in the first waves a polyp or a drone or a wretch or a regular drudge
in the next line of creatures we can be the different mutating drudge with the arms and the headsnake and in the last we can be a gunker and every unlocked line of creatures means a lambent stalk in the  map being the objective conquer the map with the stalks and in the final wave kill Myrrah or Prescott.

I am incredibly angry that Epic has decided to release the Horde Command packs for free after the rest of us either paid $15 or invested in a season pass. When I purchased the Horde Command Pack it was for the maps; those are what made the package worth it. Characters, skins and fortifications are not worth $15. You have ripped off your fans and we should be receiving some kind of free content or compensation if we purchased the content you are now giving away for free less than a month later.

i have a question how come i downloaded the season pass and got nothing? my brother has a xbox live account and he got all the perks from the season pass that i purchased but i got nothing and i bought it on my account i cant get anything from the horde command pack on my name unless hes playing with me -_- can someone please explain this to me and how to fix it

it seems like everyone would rather deal with booting that 1 person out the room for not having the dlc than actually be able to find a room in rapid succession. . .ok: yeah rustlung, blood drive and azura will be included with the free maps, but we season pass holders and HCP buyers still get those horde achievements, and 3 characters – plus theres no need to have a “map pack playlist only” option! its genious!

 This would completely go against what Beast mode is about which Queen Myraah against Chairman Prescott. The Lambent doesn’t belong to either side.

 Keep in mind the people who didn’t pay will not get the achievements nor will they get the characters, or the skins or the new fortifications. Also we’re the first in the general public to have played on them already.

You’ll be the only one who can buy the new fortifications though the other players will be able to repair them, unless it’s broken and needs to be bought again.

Actually when you bought the season pass in it’s description it did mention that one of the DLC will be for Horde/Beast. So you’re whining over nothing, and besides the maps are available for multiplayer now.

Get it straight-the *only* thing that the community as a whole is getting are the ability to play the maps on *Multiplayer*. They’re not getting anything else. I didn’t expect to pay for skins either, but know what? I don’t care. The command pack is good. Yeah, I said it. You freaking ungrateful whiny people who say how “messed up” Epic is and that they stole all your money is incredible. No one held a gun to your head and told you to by the Season Pass. You chose to. Knowing there wasn’t much info about upcoming DLC.
Further-the maps aren’t giving access to anything else but public and private (yes, it did mention private matches somewhere) for all multiplayer game types. Not horde, not beast. Just multiplayer. Also-this is supposed to be a *community*. Don’t you think it would be best for everyone to have the maps, so everyone could enjoy the experience even if it’s just on public MP? The people dling the maps free don’t get access to hosting private on Azura and Rustlung in Horde, or Best. Only on MP. They’re not getting that much for free at all, and the fact you’re too busy whining about how messed up it is shows how little you pay attention. Or how poor your reading comprehension is.

I don’t think that’s true. It only mentiones the use of the maps on multiplayer, not Horde or Beast. if I’m wrong I stand corrected and now have 2 new maps to get my Horde on.

Impossible mission?

Downloaded the booster pack 3 times, and it does not work for me, I have a new MW3 console, so I do not think the console is the issue.  What gives?

I played cluckshots this morning, but didn’t get the war supporter ribbon. Any idea on what to do? I’ve seen people get a glitch that lets them keep getting the war supporter ribbons, but why did I have to go the other way?… 

Honestly, can people not read…as stated above ” Remember, the only way to play Horde, Beast, or a privately hosted game
on Azura, Rustlung, and Blood Drive will be to purchase the Horde
Command Pack.” This means, that we paid to have them for horde and private match, those who did not buy the map pack will only be able to play them on public versus. BTW the title was the HORDE command pack.

Whether you paid for the season pass ($30) or the horde pack separately ($10) youre still not losing a lot of money. Nothin to freak out about lol

why you guys did the same shit that Activision did with the multiplayer, now i only can play with a few persons and sometimes i can’t even find a match, when we bought a xbox or a game said that we can play with any person around the world, not by region, you better fix that, dividing everything by fucking regions thats suck.

I am having a problem where Ive downloaded the booster map pack like 3 time already and it keeps telling me that i dont have the content and it wont let me play online can you please fix this

Wow thats amazing, i didnt know that you can actually solve your customer complaints just with erasing their messages, you need to fix this issue, i don’t want to play only we people that lives in one region.

A lot of people are confused because the game keep asking for the download content even when is already downloaded… and the can go into public multiplayer… and there is a lot off people with that issue…

The whole purpose of dedicated servers is to reduce lag as much a possible. The team at Epic put A LOT of attention into making sure that lag was not an issue in this game, so yes, it does matter.

beast mode sucks, you only get one minute and theres a bunch of spike barriers around and you get sucky guys at the beggining!

epic games totally screwed up beast mode!!! and i was really looking forward to trying beast but when i did it really sucked!!

Loved Thanksgibbing! Would love to see it added as it’s own versus option. My only gripe with Gears 3 is there is no Social Horde. Please bring that back!

i need some help, basically the problem is that i have downloaded the booster map pack and it is still not letting me play versus game types. I’ve deleted the download and re-downloaded it but it’s no use, it’s still registering it as have no download…. Will getting the season pass help?

I am trying to access the Horde map pack. I bought the season pass. It says to get it from the in game store so i wont be charged twice. Where can I find the in game store?

Why the heck can’t I play on dedicated servers?!
