Weapon Classes in Infinity Blade 2: Heavy

In the final post of our Infinity Blade 2 Weapon Class Series we’re going to cover the “Heavy” class.

Infinity Blade 2 Siris vs WretchThe Heavy class in Infinity Blade 2 consists of large and powerful weapons, such as a battle axe or mace. The main advantage of the heavy weapons as they deal a TON of damage to opponents. One swing from a heavy weapon can leave the boss devastated.

There are two limitations to using the heavy class. First, you will swing slower so the heavy class is best used on a slower or lumbering enemy. Secondly, you will be unable to dodge, but you will instead be able to block directionally. If you read the attacks correctly, you can block every attack that may come while wielding a heavy weapon and take advantage of the increased damage with every blow.

If you manage to attack twice from the same direction, you will go into “directional attack mode” and you will be shown where to swing. Do it perfectly to score ultra mega damage!

    hmmmm, seems kinda counterintuitive… one would imagine that if you’re carrying a gigantic axe or mace, that you’d be able to dodge but not use the massive weapon to parry.  meh, just a niggle.  don’t mind me.  lookin’ forward to it.

    HI everyone,

    I bought the game today (Dec 1st) and Can’t get past the title screen, it would stay on the title screen for some seconds and then quit. I have all the applications closed. Does anyone is having this problem too?

    Yep, I can not get it to launch at all. Yes I’m running iOS5 with all apps closed. Restarted the iPad a bunch of times…

    Here is how i fixed it (I got ipad 1 with ios
    5.01 and loaded with other apps): Just when you think the title screen “Infinity
    Blade II” is about to end, shut off the screen and wait for some ten to
    twenty seconds. When you turn the screen back on it will have skipped the intro
    scene and show you the Japanese garden. And everything worked perfectly for me
    after that. You might fail several times. In that case shut the app down/reboot
    iPad, and keep trying until it works. I think the intro scene is what takes the
    most memory, and once you are past that “peak”, you are fine.

    I have been favoring Heavy over Duals when it comes to damage output, but I am not sure which scales better with +attack gems since Duals obviously hit more.

    I hope Chair enlightens us with a damage formula, especially with elements and the new combos, and how the +attack gems are implemented.

    Ever since your update for the game mine has been resetting every time I play a different game on my iPod. I didn’t pay $7.00 to have to restart frm the beginning every time I want to play. Fix this! I have a third generation iPod if that makes a difference.

    I favor the amount of damage that you do with the heavy class. But the defence system is very bad. Now im level 47 and on a very big rebirth number. So nearly ALL enemies have this thing of that you cant block so every time I block it says broken block or something. Thats why you aleays lose alot of life against an enemy. That is very anoying.

    i had that problem too. you have to restart the device by holding the home button and the power button. just keep holding it until you see the apple. then, keep holding it until it disappears.  now start it back up. if that doesn’t work then while it was downloading there was an error and you’ll have to download it again. i know it sucks.

    When u master something a weapon after this update it will sell if u want it to. I am level 41 and it let’s me now( you must master it)
