Gears of War: Judgment Available for Pre-Order!

Microsoft and Epic Games today released the official Gears of War: Judgment box art and kicked off pre-orders at participating retailers. Set years before the events of the previous Gears of War trilogy,

Judgment centers on Kilo Squad, a troop of soldiers led by Damon Baird and Augustus Cole. They are joined by newcomers to the Gears series, Sofia Hendricks and Garron Paduk, as they attempt to save the city of Halvo Bay from a terrifying new enemy.

Starting today, fans who pre-order “Gears of War: Judgment” at participating retailers will receive an exclusive in-game multiplayer weapon at launch, the six shot Classic Hammerburst. Now this highly feared and effective weapon is exclusively yours to wield when you pre-order the game.

Additional incentives will be available from participating retailers in the coming weeks, including exclusive multiplayer character skins Young Marcus, Young Dom, Anya and Alex Brand.       Is the hammerburst not a regular weapon in this game? or is it just the skin? I loved the hammerburst, and it seems odd that you wouldn’t stick with the same regular weapons. So, whats so special about this hammer bursT?

        This is the Hammerburst from Gears of War 1.
        Push fire – it fires in a 6 round burst.
        Gears 2/3 had it redesigned to be a single fire rifle due to them having difficulty balancing it in Gears 1.
        So they are 2 completely different guns.

        You have the single fire Hammerburst and also a burst fire Hammerburst. Entirely different.

      But this wont be able to compete with the current hammerburst that can be modded to 500 bursts per second

        Failed trolling.
        Hammerburst in GoW3 is limited to 8 shots a second. That limit has remained however it gains heavier recoil per shot after the 3rd.
        Do you ever stop complaining about Gears? Do it on Twitter non-stop.

          It was already decided that all of the current weapons will be in Gears Judgement however the sawed-off and the retro lancer will be completely different (words from Epic at the reveal of the game). Sorry to burst your bubble, bud

        This is a prequel to the first Gears. It’s telling Baird and Cole’s story.

        Yes they can, the guns have always been around (before the locust showed up) because they were developed to kill other people when humans were still warring amongst themselves.

        Don’t worry, this is the end of Gears. Cliffy B already said that he was done making it after they showed Baird and Cole’s story since they had already gone over Marcus and Dom with the campaign.

          With Cliff leaving Epic. That was a Sign for me that this is the end. I too am walking out of this game. Gears isn’t the same anymore as we obviously see here in Judgement.

      I don’t think I like the fact that it’s a pre-order that affects the gameplay… I liked the fact that the Gears bonuses for previous games were purely cosmetic and kept the playing field level while still giving you something special. The fact that every player has always had access to the same weapons in each mode made a very fair and very level playing field that’s rare in online shooters, where higher ranked players are literally given better weapons, creating a reverse handicap.

      But I love the classic Hammerburst and Gears is special to me, so I’m in.

      These skins should not be having a changed color variant like the ones in gears 3, it’s not a great idea making dlc’s that have the same skins that most people already have. it just makes it pointless pre ordering it unless if you want the classic hammerburst.
