It’s Gears Weekend time!  Here’s what’s happening this weekend:

GearsCon Community Night 4.4

Our friends at GCON continue the tradition of bringing amazing weekly events to the Gears community.  This weekend, the focus is on competitive gaming in the form of a featured match and GCON lobbies with competitive settings.  Head over to the official forums thread for more info.

Back to Back Gold Weapons

Last week we randomly awarded Gold Weapon codes to fans who told us about their Gears activities on Twitter by using the #gearsweekend hashtag.  Due to the popularity of the weapons, we’re bringing them back!  Look for winners to be announced periodically on the @gearsofwar3, @raczilla, @iflak Twitter accounts.

*Friendly reminder: Posting often about your #gearsweekend activities is great, but be sure you’re not just spamming the hashtag as that may make it difficult for folks to follow along. 

Coalition’s End

In honor of the release of Coalition’s End, we’re randomly awarding a hard cover copy of the book to one lucky fan who tells us about their Gears Weekend in the comments below.  The book is autographed by author Karen Traviss!

This week, GCON‘s Community Nights return with  Calibur11 and the Gears of War 3 Case Vault. Gold Weapons Blowout

In recent weeks we’ve randomly awarded Cole Plushies to fans who are telling us about their Gears activities on Twitter by using the #gearsweekend hashtag.  This weekend we’re stepping it up and adding Gears 2 gold weapons into the mix.  Tell us what you’re up to in Gears and you might come away with a Gears 2 Gold Lancer or Hammerburst!

Coalition’s End
