An amazing piece really caught our eye last week. The God King Papercraft was created by deviantARTist, lubre53. Lubre took the time to answer a few questions for us about the model’s production.
F: What made you decide to create the God King?
L: This had to be something I was going to papercraft. I plan to do more Infinity Blade characters in the future, but The God King was definitely the coolest looking character of all of them. I would love to see an Infinity Blade movie using same characters, story and setting.
F: How long have you been playing Infinity Blade?
L: I started playing Infinity Blade about a year ago and thought the characters in the game were fantastic, not to mention being able to play a game like that on an iPad was incredible. I mean the video, the speed, the textures, etc., it is still better than anything else out there. Infinity Blade was not something I excelled at but I played just to see the visuals.
F: You mentioned there were 342 pieces of paper to put together, how much ink did you use? How much glue?
L: There were 60 A4 pages with 342 pieces and 3600 tabs to glue together, about $60 worth of printer ink and 200ml glue.
Flak: You said it took 2.45 months to make, how many hours a day did you work on it?
Lubre53: It’s hard to say how many hours I spent on the project, I just did it at night time in front of the TV. So, if I spent a couple of hours a night 5 nights a week and maybe a few extra hours on weekend. That makes about 100-150 hours spent editing, unfolding, printing, cutting, scoring and gluing.
Thank you so much for answering our questions Lubre and for sharing your awesome Papercraft model with us!
