Forces of Nature Weapon Skins Sneak Peek!

Many of you have been asking about the new weapon skins in DLC 4 and we have a sneak peak!  Five of the skins will be available as soon as you download the Forces of Nature DLC next week on March 27th. Two of the skins, Ivory and Fl4k, will need to be unlocked.

Ivory Weapon Skins: I’ve Got This! – Kill 10 opponents as the leader in a round of Guardian on a Forces of Nature map.

Forces of Nature DLC Screenshots and Gameplay Video

Gears of War 3 Forces of Nature DLCEpic Games has just released new screenshots of the Gears of War 3 DLC “Forces of Nature.” There are three brand new maps, Cove, Aftermath and Artillery. Two old fan favorites will be making a return, Jacinto and Raven Down.

Fog, snowstorms and tsunamis will make playing these maps quite an adventure. Fans will also be treated to four character models and seven new weapon skins. Two of the weapon skins, which were designed based on community feedback, will need to be unlocked. There is also 250 gamerscore points added with this DLC. We listen closely to your suggestions and feedback and we’re happy to announce that the game mode Guardian will be making a return with the “Forces of Nature” DLC.

Rod Fergusson Q & A Recap

Horde Command Pack DLC AzuraYesterday evening, Rod Fergusson had a live Q & A stream on the Epic Games Twitch TV channel. The archive is now available and Rod talks about Gears of War 3, The Horde Command Pack, weapon skins and much more in this informative video.

 

Rod also gave us a preview of the achievements that will be available in the DLC.

  • The Host With the Most – 25 gamer score. Host 5 players privately in Horde on 1 of the new DLC maps.
  •  Places to See, People to Destroy – 25 gamer score. Host 5 players privately in Beast on 1 of the new DLC maps.
  •  What Does This Button Do? – 50 gamer score. Raise the Silverback to its rocket upgrade and get 500 kills with the rockets to earn this achievement.
  •  It’s Hammer Time – 50 gamer score. Upgrade the Command Post to its 4th level and unlock the Hammer of Dawn fortification upgrade.
  •  Kill Locust Like A Boss – 100 gamer score. Go into any boss wave with all 5 members of your party as Onyx Guard characters and beat it on Hardcore difficulty.
